Appointment: Full-time, twelve-month, tenure-track appointment ( 70% teaching, 30% research) Start Date: July 1, 2019
Minimum Qualifications: Earned doctorate in nutrition, human nutrition, nutrition food science, public health nutrition, or closely related field; Ability to conduct research; Demonstrated potential for extramural funding
Preferred Qualifications: A record of refereed publications; Higher education teaching experience; Evidence of external grant activity; Evidence of funded research;
Responsibilities: Teach courses in nutrition and food science (Food Safety, Sensory Evaluation of Foods, Food Law & Regulation); Recruit, advise and mentor students; Participate in curriculum and program development; Develop and maintain an active research program including grant writing and publications; Participate in professional, university, and community service
Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience

The Department: The Department of Human Sciences is in the School of Agriculture, Fisheries and Human Sciences. The Department offers a Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Sciences Education and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Sciences with options in Foodservice/Restaurant Management; Human Development and Family Studies; Merchandising, Textiles and Design; and Nutrition and Food Science. Programs are accredited by the American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences.
