The Department of Human Development and Family Studies at Iowa State University invites nominations and applications for the position of Chair and Professor, Department of Human Development and Family Studies ( www.hdfs.hs.iastate.edu ). The University of Georgia Department of Human Development and Family Science (HDFS), in the College of Family and Consumer Sciences (FACS), is seeking applications for an Associate or Full Professor with tenure to provide leadership in our focus on child health and well-being. The position is a nine-month academic appointment. We are seeking applications and nominations of individuals with stature in research to be appointed the first endowed Georgia Athletic Association Professor in Family Health Disparities. Start date: August 2015 or as negotiated. Salary is negotiable and commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Required Qualifications: Earned doctorate in Human Development and Family Science, or closely related area (social work, psychology, education, public health, sociology), with a focus on child development, particularly child health and well-being and qualified for tenure on appointment at either the full or associate professor level. Appointment to rank of associate professor will be extended to individuals with similar rank at comparable institution and evidence of emerging stature as national authority in the discipline. Appointment to rank of professor will be extended to individuals with at least five years as associate professor (eligible for promotion to rank of professor upon appointment) or rank of professor at comparable institution and must show clear and convincing evidence of high levels of attainment in teaching and research and commensurate national or international recognition related to child health and well-being. The Department of Consumer Sciences at the University of Alabama is seeking dynamic applicants for an Assistant/Associate Professor tenure track position. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate courses. An appointment at the rank of Associate Professor will require an established record of scholarly publications and external funding appropriate for the University of Alabama and would likely share in department leadership duties. The department offers a bachelor's degree in Consumer Sciences with concentrations in consumer affairs and family financial planning and counseling and a master's degree with either a focus in consumer economics or family financial planning and counseling. Position:  The University of Georgia College of Family and Consumer Sciences is seeking applications for an Assistant Professor/Associate Professor in housing with a focus on residential property management.  The position is nine month academic appointment, tenure track.  The start date is August 14, 2015 or as negotiated.  

Qualifications:  To be considered for the position of Assistant Professor, the applicant must certify completion of doctorate degree at time of employment in one of the following areas: housing, property management, real estate, housing policy, community development, or closely related discipline. The applicant should demonstrate great potential for outstanding scholarly competence, and research productivity. One year of post-doctoral experience is preferred. Development and implementation of online courses, and active membership in relevant professional organizations are also desirable.
