For more than 75 years, the College of Technology has inspired innovation and uniquely equipped industry leaders with broad engineering and technical knowledge, critical thinking, teamwork and computing skills. The college offers accredited bachelor's and master's degrees in wide-ranging disciplines from engineering technologies and biotechnology to consumer sciences, digital media, and human resource development. It also offers opportunities for upgrading professional skills and qualifications in many specializations such as construction management, supply chain and logistics technology, and project management. A strong partnership with industry provides students with the experience of addressing real world issues. College of Technology students learn by participating in discovery, and working in teams on real-world projects to gain hands-on, practical learning experience and to put theory into practice.
We seek a candidate who will be an energetic leader and faculty advocate with a demonstrated commitment to attracting and developing talented and diverse faculty, staff, and students; promoting research excellence and productivity; facilitating innovative curriculum and teaching methodologies; enhancing resources through private fundraising and grants; engaging alumni and the broader community for the benefit of the College and the University; promoting multidisciplinary and multicultural programs; and working with faculty, students, staff, and alumni to collaboratively establish a vision for harnessing and channeling the wide and varied curricular and research interests of the College of Technology.
Qualified candidates must hold an earned doctorate or other appropriate terminal degree and have a distinguished record of scholarship, teaching, and/or creative accomplishments to qualify for appointment at the rank of Full Professor with tenure. Successful experience as a university administrator in a leadership role at the department chair level or above is required.
